This is one proud puppy mommy this morning. When Trixie came to us, she was puppy pad trained but not otherwise completely house trained. We’ve had our trials and it took us a long time to learn what she needed but we’ve finally gotten her to where she rarely has accidents of any kind in the house. She has slept in a crate in Porter’s room since we got her overnight, because early on she seemed to think the carpet was like grass….bed time was the only time she was crated.
But while we were gone to Nebraska, the nice lady who stayed at our house with the pups didn’t crate her at all at night like we normally have. So, I got to thinking, yesterday. Porter got to sleep with Trixie in his room last night, uncrated, for the first time since the early days when we were experimenting with what would work for her. Proud to report no accidents! So glad that her crate can now go to the garage.
